You do not have to be diagnosed with a clinical eating disorder to seek support for food and body image-related issues, you deserve help now.

Eating Disorders are not a choice. Our approach to healing is centred on compassion and understanding whereby you are seen, heard and listened to as an individual and not an illness.

Nutrition Counselling

Nutrition counselling considers the mutual importance of both what we eat, as well as the ways in which we think and feel about food and our bodies, or our relationship with food. In our practice, we work with individuals on a spectrum of different food, dieting and body image-related concerns from diagnosed eating disorders to feeling stuck on the merry-go-round of dieting. Our aim is to help you foster freedom and flexibility so that you can more confidently manage food, eating, movement and self-care habits from a place of compassion and self-trust.

When it comes to nutrition, there is no one size fits all, so we will work with you collaboratively considering your unique goals and requirements to create a bespoke and holistic care plan. Our approach blends evidence-based nutrition science with psychological and behavioural modalities, clinical experience and us simply being human beings to help evoke change at a pace that feels good for you.

We know that food beliefs and eating behaviours are often deeply entrenched and engrained so the process of cultivating curiosity and often unlearning and growing can take time. The number of sessions and frequency will depend entirely on your needs, goals, support systems, readiness to change and likely many other factors. We encourage you to be patient and gentle with yourself.

As this work will require us to share openly and honestly with each other. I hope over time that we can build a relationship centred on integrity and trust. I hope to always be a human being, before a nutrition professional.

What to expect:

Discovery call:

We offer all potential clients a free 10 minute discovery call. This is a chance for us to find out a bit more about you and what you may like from our work together, as well as a chance for you to learn a little bit more about the process and ask us any questions you may have.

Pre Consultation:

If you’d like to go ahead following our call, we’ll send you the pre-consultation forms to complete in advance of our assessment. These will provide me with a bit more information on your medical history and current presentations, dietary and lifestyle habits, as well as what you’d like to achieve in working together. Of course, there is no pressure to complete any parts of the form that feel uncomfortable for you.

Initial Consultation | 60 minutes:

The initial assessment will include an in-depth discussion based on your current presentations, dietary intake, symptoms, goals, as well as interests, hobbies and lifestyle. This will help inform a road map for our work together including long and short term goals based on what feels most important for you.

Subsequent Sessions | 50-55 Minutes

During subsequent sessions, we will work specifically on your goals, as well as make space to process what may have arisen in between sessions. As we go, we will review goals and frequently check in to ensure the work is meeting your needs and expectations. Following each session, you will be provided with notes and additional information, resources and optional homework tasks or challenges.

Multi-Disciplinary Support:

In order to ensure you receive the highest level of care, we aim to work collaboratively with different health care professionals or significant individuals including; your GP, therapist, psychiatrist, parents, caregivers or others necessary for your support. We will always obtain your consent to communicate with outside parties and also have a list of established partners that we can recommend if appropriate.

Cancellation Policy:

Our cancellation policy is 48 working hours in advance of the scheduled session. Sessions cancelled outside of this will require payment in full. If late, the remaining time of the scheduled appointment may be used but will still have to end on time. Full payment for the appointment will still be required.
